About Me
Hi, I’m Sam! I studied communication design at the University of Cincinnati’s College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning (DAAP), where I had the opportunity to design professionally for the University Library System and HBO.
These experiences helped me turn my education into a career in graphic & motion design, which continued post-graduation at Tier1 Performance, a consulting company that works with clients to produce a variety of products intended to help workers perform their jobs more effectively, more easily. There, I worked with dynamic teams of designers and educators to create graphic and motion assets for e-learning courses, tutorial videos, and other specialized educational materials.
After two years with Tier1, I felt the call back to my home state of Maryland, and left for crabbier lands! I now work independently with clients who need help bringing their ideas to life through graphics and animation.
When I’m not working, I enjoy playing guitar, various forms of visual storytelling like movies and comics, and exploring other artistic styles such as illustration, hand-drawn animation, and 3D graphics.
